Spectrum of Lymphoma: A Five Years’ Experience of Tertiary Care Centre in Eastern Nepal

Background: Immunophenotyping and improvement in classification system of lymphoma gains better epidemiological comparison incidence pattern. We aimed to study the spectrum clinic-epidemiological profile categorize type subtype according 2008 WHO system. Methods: This hospital-based retrospective, cross-sectional included all cases diagnosed a 5-year period from January 2012 December 2016. Demographic indices clinical details provided by various departments were noted proforma categorized Results: There total 47 lymphoma, which only 68% could be categorized. B cell lineage lymphomas comprised 61.7% rest (6.3%) belonged T lineage. Out these, diffuse large (DLBCL) (21.2.% lymphoma) was found commonest Non-Hodgkin’s (NHL) followed classical Hodgkin’s (HL) (12.7% lymphoma). The highest number seen 6th decade. mean age 48.22 years for NHL 42.60 HL. Male (70.2%) outnumbered female. Conclusion: Categorization achievable with aid immunophenotyping panels. majority DLBCL lymphoma. Ancillary technique plays an important role designating
